More about us :Eat Home Grown Organic Foods ideal life style in Chiang MaiSet on stilts and hidden right in the heart of an unspoiled local community in the ancient moat city of Chiang Mai old city; we are surrounded by temples and authentic Thai life, with great balconies and a tropical herb garden - dragonflies - butterflies - chameleons - frogs - tropical flora. We offer an uncontrived Thai home life at its best without a formal hotel atmosphere. Staff are there to help 24 hours with all that you need for a great stay in Chiang Mai.Close to major tourist highlights in Chiang Mai and a couple minutes walk to the world famous Sunday Walking Street Market - but far enough away from the noise of the main Night Market on the other side of town. We would ideally like all visitors to be immersed in Thai culture and traditional home style life whilst you would of course also enjoy your privacy. All rooms are different and are booked by room name. Therefore we strongly recommend guests contact us directly when possible to help decide the best mix. Please feel free to contact us by email to find out about any special offers, options for honeymoons, birthdays as well as longer stays and so on which are not available on reseller sites. Limited Availability online : occasionally hotel sites such as booking.com do not always show our full availability on certain days as our rooms are not quantity listed in the same way as a conventional hotel. Again, please feel free to enquire about other options if you are happy to experience a mix of rooms on given dates. NB: This is not a luxury 5 star accommodation, nor is it a hotel in the classical sense. This is a Thai rustic chic farmer style; lots of chunky wood, Thai fabrics and furnishings, lots of open air space away from the rush hours in the big city, quality food, ambiance and attentive hosts offering family style welcome. Guests are invited to mingle at breakfast, dinner etc. There are cats and chickens in the farm like gardens. Please read some reviews to get a good idea before booking.More about us: Having evolved over the years from a classical Thai traditional guest house to a kind of countryside village in the middle of Thailand's booming second city, there is now a quaint mix of traditional teak houses. The main teak house is over 70 years old and together with 5 smaller villas in the village it has been renovated with mostly recycled teak. The new 'rice terrace' garden and outdoor relaxation area is now open with an extra communal kitchen and semi open air dining/ballroom. We do have a small amount of construction happening at the far end of the village far away from most guest rooms and not a disturbance. Our ultimate goal is to become a 'living museum' within a modern city. The style is unapologetically rustic, an outdoor experience in the city albeit with modern comforts.Prospective guests should be very clear before booking that this place has many open air aspects, some bathrooms, garden areas and open living spaces. We supply free mosquito repellent and mosquito nets for bedding as well as fans in garden areas. We try to make rooms as comfortable as possible and request guests let us know immediately if extra soft pillows, extra blankets etc. are required. Villas are all unique yet blend together lending an authentic Thai country hamlet feel within the centre of rapidly urbanizing Chiang Mai. Your hosts welcome you to experience relaxed Thai life at close hand. Only one room has TV. Other rooms feature hammocks and relaxation areas to provide a mostly 'unplugged' environment and stress-less feeling of yesteryear. Rooms are simple and quaint. All rooms have fairly private outdoor relaxation and dining areas. As a family style environment, guests are encouraged to use the communal kitchen and fridges with complimentary chilled drinks, snacks as well as an honesty policy regarding alcoholic beverages. Normally open as a guest house usually accommodating around 16-20 people. Guests frequently dine together with hosts (family, friends and long term residents ) at a large outdoor communal table and very often strike up new friendships. It is a place to learn and experience Thai culture; get involved in cooking local dishes and partake in the rich diversity of celebrations and festivities at home as well as in the city at large. It is not unusual to go on local market or temple trips with our team who like you to experience some of the lesser know temple traditions. We will happily help to organise your days to make the most of your stay in Chiang Mai with our in-depth knowledge of local tours and what best to avoid as well as how to dress and get along with local culture. Also available in part or whole for weddings, conferences and special events.
